WHAT IS LIFE COACHING
Life coaching is a one to one partnership between you and your coach to take control of your life and future. In the past only footballers and sports stars used coaches. Now people from all walks of life make this partnership.Coaching is about personal development, growth and being the best you can bewith the support, stimulation and challenge of your coach.
As your coach, I will guide you through a detailed process beginning with the need to re-evaluate your present position, who you really are, where your priorities lie and the need to make a definite and conscious decision about the future you would like to create. With my help as your personal life coach, you really can re-shape your life, overcome all obstacles and live the life at the next level - where you really want to be. Start now!
One thing is for sure. If you continue to take the same actions, and keep the same attitudes, you will continue to get the same results. If you want to change the result you must change your actions and attitudes.If you can do it on your own, that’s great. Like dieting, some find short-term success, but few find long term success without ongoing support.
A successful life is a balanced life. For example it is no good being a business success if your family life is neglected.

Give yourself a score out of 10 against each category (1 is poor or non existent – 10 is excellent). A fully balanced person will have similar scores for each category. You may add further categories which apply to you.
The job of the coach is to guide you to identify your goals and take action to achieve them. You will identify and deal with what holds you back from achieving these. The coach is not there to tell you what to do. Then we move forward together, step by step, towards discarding fears, changing your life and achieving your goals. The process could take a month, or many months.Sessions will usually be by phone at pre-arranged times. Face to face sessions will also be possible.
COACHING OR COUNSELLING?
Coaching moves a person out of their problems, into their solutions and clarifies a way forward.Counselling looks back into a problem to find the cause and the way to treat and heal that problem.
To move forward you need to be fully committed to change. You must desire change and be prepared to step out of your “comfort zone”.
Coaching is a journey, and therefore involves taking steps forward and taking action. It involves commitment on both our parts to making sure something does change and action is taken. Where-ever you are today, your “new life” starts with your decision to change.

Listen to the words you speak.
Identify and cease to use negatives. The glass is half full, rather than half empty.
Wear you best clothes. Look good. Feel good. The clothes you keep for the special occasion may not fit one day, and will be no use when you die.
Be proud of what you have achieved and of your positive attributes.
Read self-help and autobiographical books.
Smile and talk to people.
Use people’s names when you speak to them.
Clear your clutter, at home, in the wardrobe, at work.
Remember you are special.
Write down what you want to achieve, your short term and long term goals, and take small steps each day to achieve them.
Have a focus.
Think how you can help others by use of your time and skills, and contribute to charities.Act your beliefs. Walk the walk. Talk the talk. Develop Silent Power. (Read the book “Silent Power” by Stuart Wilde).
Make silent time to listen to yourself or meditate.
Laugh every day.
WHO I AM
I was a Chartered Accountant and Tax advisor, working in various professional offices with well known international firms for over fifteen years before my “mid life” career change, inspired by my desire to travel, sail and take control of my life. During my professional life I attended many training and personal development courses.
I have always been a “communicator” and a “catalyst”.I have created successful international businesses.
I am a “laid back” motivational trainer and have trained in many countries for some years. Working with natural health products led me to meet many healers and therapists.
Showing people how to take responsibility for their lives is rewarding, as is helping them to unblock what stops them moving forward.
I can rightly claim to “Live the Dream”, enjoying life in the sun and travel, as I guide others to do the same.
Adding formal Life Coach training has reinforced my naturally developed coaching skills.
